Set in the South Hams with sweeping views over the countryside, the former manor house had been adapted and altered over the years compromising its character and appearance.

The entire internal fabric, including external and internal walls and floors were upgraded to hugely improve the overall thermal performance and sustainability of the building. A new dramatic timber staircase connects the 3 storeys of the house and a new extension houses a bulthaup kitchen and dining area.

The project was awarded a Gold Award in the Devon Building Control Building Excellence Awards 2020.
