Woodford Architecture and Interiors completed this major refurbishment of this former rectory which is an absolute delight of details. Our new joinery designs respond to the ecclesiastic details and features of the house which have been restored and reinstated.
Our clients felt passionately about developing a contemporary interiors scheme which sat well in the historical context of the house while being a backdrop for their eclectic collection of modern artwork. Having lived in India, they were also keen to reflect their passion for this country through the textures and patterned fabric of the soft furnishings.
"A really outstanding business.
We used the team at Woodford to help us update an old Rectory we had purchased. Gavin developed the new design for our kitchen, en-suite master bedroom and two other bathrooms.
Gavin picked up very cleverly on existing design elements of the original Georgian rectory and incorporated these into a modern but appropriate twist for the new designs.
We ended up following all Sarah's proposals for flooring, wall colours, kitchen & bathroom fixtures & fittings. Sarah also developed beautiful ideas for curtains and roman-blinds and was able to recommend a great local company who provided the fabrication (and who did a really good job on this).
In summary, their advice and professionalism was wide-ranging, great value-for-money and time-generous. Gavin & Sarah and the team at Woodford absolutely exceeded our expectations."
