On Sunday 5th of March my Dad passed peacefully away. Dad was a very kind and thoughtful person and was always looking for the best in people. Dad was an agriculturalist by profession and studied British agriculture in Aberdeen, European agriculture in Poland and tropical agriculture in the Caribbean and South East Asia. Dad was nature lover, musician, dancer, treasure hunter, diver and poet in his spare time; one of Dad’s last poems was “Thank you Carers”.

Thank You Carers

Cynics might say “Just another job, On minimal pay” So why do you love it, Train again… And thankfully, stay.

No fanfare, but “COOEE. IT'S ONLY ME” Announces your arrival; Maybe, key to our survival.

But, I have learned From your motley crew, Things about caring, That I never knew.

In my “hour o need” Through all the nitty-gritty, I've been shown care and love, Yet, left with, precious, dignity.

In thanking you, I can truly say, “You all reflect the best in our society.”

Thank you Dad for bringing me into this world with my amazing brother and sister, so that I could find my incredible wife Sarah, make our perfect family and enjoy so much fun and delight with our amazing friends.
