After years of unsympathetic alterations this Georgian property needed a complete overhaul if it was to become the timeless new family home our client desired.

The building has been transformed with a new internal layout, external renovation and interior design scheme. The design focused on updating and modernising the house while respecting the character and design intent of the original building. Old and new come together with the restoration and repair of distinctive features including fireplaces and wood panelling alongside a dramatic new dining room, boot room and study/DJ space.

The interior design combines historic and contemporary layers, nodding to the Georgian architecture while integrating the technology for today's living. The colour and material palette has been purposefully pared-down to create the refined and timeless environment the client desired. Materials, including granite, reclaimed slate and washed walnut floorboards, give a contemporary edge to the old building.
