Located in the South Hams in Devon, Woodford Architecture and Interiors were asked to remodel and extend a Grade II listed cottage. The new oak framed extension now links an adjacent barn and allows natural light to spill into the spaces and now connects the kitchen to the garden. Working with a local kitchen joinery company Barnes of Ashburton with whom the clients had a relationship spanning 30 years, the new kitchen reuses some elements of the original kitchen whilst adding new enhancements such as the stunning new elm worktop.
“We are delighted with the completed project. We now have a room that is flooded with light due to the clever design and new room, which is far more than a well-designed kitchen. It is a complement and enhancement to our cottage. Thank you to everyone who worked with us to make it possible.”
